The Opening Ceremony:

· Master Anto Nobilo, VIII Degree – President of European Taekwon-Do ITF Federation;

· Juriy Avdeyev – Vice-Chairman of Federal Agency for physical culture and sports of Russian Federation;

· Vjacheslav Chazov – Chairman of Federal Agency for physical culture and sports of Russian Federation;

· Mikhail Shmelev – President of Saint-Petersburg Taekwon-do federation, Vice-president of European Taekwon-Do ITF Federation;

· Igor Rimmer – Member of Legislative board of St-Petersburg;

· Ivan Novikov– Executive director of Russian union of martial art;

· Master Mikhail Prewett, VII Degree – President of Taekwon-Do Federation of Wales, President of Umpire Committee of European Taekwon-do ITF Federation;

· Master Kim Yong Hun, VII Degree – Main Umpire of the Tournament.

«Cup of Peter the Great » has gained the great popularity for 16 years of its history. Sportsmen fought for 32 Cups this year. The team which got the most number of gold medals gets the main award – World Cup “Cup of Peter the Great”.

President of European ITF Federation Master Anto Nobilo opened the Tournament.

There was a parade of participant teams of “Cup of Peter the Great”. Guests were greeted by students of Nakhimov Navy School, Kronshtadt Navi Cadet Corpus and Suvorov Military school.

The audience was delighted by children performance, when 300 of small sportsmen showed simultaneous technique of Taekwon-Do. The performance was prepared by coaches of Saint-Petersburg and Leningrad region under leadership of Vice-President of Saint-Petersburg Taekwon-do Federation Andrey Beletsky.

In the frame of opening ceremony there were the self-defence competitions among women. St-Petersburg fans were very happy as Tishchenko Anna (St-Petersburg) took the first place. Her result was 55 points, 54 points got 2 place Naschinets Alina. 3rd place took Shpileva Ekaterina (Moscow).
