Saint-Petersburg team took the 1st prize

“Cup of Peter the Great”, World Cup, has finished. During closing ceremony children of Federation showed their performance again. 199 sportsmen from 9 countries got 32 sets of medals in different kinds of competitions.

The following official and honored persons took part in the ceremony of closing:

· Jury Kalashnikov – President of Russian Taekwon-do Federation, ITF Vice-President;

· Master Mikhail Prewett, VII Degree – President of Taekwon-Do Federation of Wales, President of Umpire Committee of European Taekwon-do ITF Federation

· Mikhail Shmelev – President of Saint-Petersburg Taekwon-do federation, Vice-president of European Taekwon-Do ITF Federation;

· Victor Gorbatko– twice hero of Soviet Union, spice pilot of USSR

· Anatoly Zhuravlev – Taekwon-do Champion of USSR, twice winner of Cup of Peter the Great, famous actor.

Before awarding of Cups and medals the honored guest Victor Gorbatko awarded with memory prizes Master Mikhail Prewett and Master Mikhail Shmelev. The main Umpire of the Tournament Master Kim Yong Hun awarded with the prize of the Best Umpire of the Tournament Master Gary Miller (England).

Company “Forward” – the official equipper of Russian Teams awarded the absolute Champions of the championship Mineev Aleksey (Samara) and Vasilenko Julia (Kostroma).

Saint-Petersburg Team got the main prize - World Cup, which took 8 gold, 2 silver, 9 bronze medals.

In the end Master Shmelev thanked all the participants and invited them to the World Championship.
